It's very similar to a traditional band equalizer. Theoretically, the phase of the signal can be aligned with the curve using the fader. However, I don't have a idea as to how the phase change would change with the green curve.

Initially VST Parametric EQ seems just a PVEQ except a few parameters are missing: the most important one is the PEAK parameter.
